Atlas Mountains & Berber Villages Day Trip

This full-day trip takes you to the heart of the High Atlas, just 45 minutes from Marrakech. You'll leave the ochre city behind and venture into the Ourika Valley, a spectacular green haven bordered by snow-capped peaks. In the morning, a guided hike leads you through mountain trails, cultivated terraces, and rammed-earth villages clinging to the mountainside. Your Berber guide shares the traditions and ancestral way of life of these mountain communities. Stop at a women-run argan oil cooperative, then visit a traditional aromatic garden. Lunch is served in a typical Berber home: wood-fire tajine, traditionally baked bread, Moroccan salad, and mint tea on the terrace overlooking the valley. In the afternoon, descend to the Setti Fatma waterfalls for a refreshing swim (in season). Return to Marrakech by late afternoon.
